Semper Fidelis (Always Faithful) - Wedding in Richland, WA

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

I know that I’ve been falling behind on maintaining the blog. There is a glitch that popped up after some recent upgrades. The only workaround I’ve found involves a bunch of mouse clicks and tedious work. Makes me appreciate Facebook! Anyway, here are some favorites from a recent wedding between a marine and his sweetie. These two are such great people and definitely deserve some good cookies.

Customer Service Delays…

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Apologies to all of my clients.  We’ve been having major problems with one of our computers, and it has really impacted our ability to keep up with customer service - invoices, product delivery, responsiveness to questions…argh!  Many apologies to everyone who has been waiting, and THANKS for your patience.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me, especially by phone.

You Are More Than My Clients

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

Wedding photography is about so much more than just pictures.  It’s about relationship.  When my clients are comfortable with me and we enjoy each other’s company, it shows in the pictures.  You can relax and be yourself.  You don’t mind so much that I am going to stick my big ol’ camera in yer face and ask you hold your fiance in unexpected ways.  Photographic art becomes something that we create together through an enjoyable experience.

Case in point…Krissy and Brian.  These two are more than clients to me.  I truly consider them my friends.  Hopefully it’s mutual…guys, what do ya’ say?  So, while it is a bit unusual, I’m posting their wedding album proofs on the old blog because I want to share these guys’ photographic story.  It’s that special.  By the way, the song that you hear in the background was the song from their first dance.  They discovered it from a posting on this very blog!  Love you guys!

Click this link for their wedding album proofs.  Oh, and for you super-critics, these have not been touched up or color corrected.  : P

Seven Years of Wedded Bliss

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Yesterday marked my seventh anniversary with my wonderful wife. I wrote a poem for her based on something I read in the Bible. I share it now in the hopes that she would be honored and that she would know how much I love and appreciate her.

Whom have I found?

Who is she, more precious than jewels,
Trusted by the man who’s heart she holds?
She does him good, and not harm,
All the days of her life.
Her selflessness and sacrificial efforts
Yield provision and comfort for this blessed one.
Clothed with strength and dignity,
She speaks wisdom and kindness.
She is deserving of praise
For many women have done excellently,
But she surpasses them all.
Whom have I found?
Whom have I found?
Only you, my beloved wife.
Only you, my precious Yolanda.

Happy Anniversary, Sweetheart!
I love you more now than ever.

Here’s a picture of us taken with my phone at our celebratory dinner at Tagaris Winery.

Love Begets Elise Lee Tuan

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

September 2, 2008 at 8:06 am
7 pounds, 3 ounces
19 inches long

Our babiest girl arrived to open, loving arms.  Yolanda spent the evening of Labor Day laboring!  She had been having “mild” contractions on Monday night and by Tuesday morning at about 2:45 am, her contractions were severe enough that she couldn’t sleep.  We headed to the hospital and by about 7:45 am, she was complete…ready to push.

The “new” practice at our hospital is to allow the mom to reach down and bring the baby to her body immediately after entering the world.  Here, Elise is just seconds old.

A few hours later, the nurses and doctors do their thing.  Elise was too tired to object.

Baby. Foot.

Big brother and big sis welcomed their babiest sister with hugs, kisses, and head pats.  They were so sad when we had to take Elise away from them that Emma cried.

Two of my three beautiful ladies.

Now, Allan need sleee…eep.

Family Fun in Seattle with Dinosaurs

Friday, August 8th, 2008

We recently made a run to Seattle because my son is really into dinosaurs and we wanted to take him to see the real thing at the Pacific Science Center.  If you’ve not been before, it is a kids playground.  Our littl’uns loved it and we only wished we had more time to spend there.  Here’s a few shots from the day.

boy and girl playing game at Pacific Science Center

My kids are so sweet (he said with shameless pride).  My boy and his number one fan.

Baby girl on huge table

How big is my plate of food going to be?”  Where else could my little girl be so elated but at a HUGE dining table.

My baby girl

SWEET-heart.  Who knew that I could love anything so much.  Kids are a ton of work, but worth every bit of it.

My boy was captivated by the moving dinosaurs.  Yolanda and I were having a blast just watching his fascination and excitement.

Allosaurus.  ’nuff said.

I’ve got a bunch to blog about; but with crazy summer schedules and a baby due in September, it’s hard to keep up.  Thanks for being patient.

BTW, know of other cool hangouts in the Pacific Northwest for kids?  Hit me in the comments with your favorites.
